Mount Harwood, CA
34° 17' 11" N, 117° 37' 59" W

Mt. Harwood is really no more than a sub-summit that hikers usually skirt in climbs up to the summit of Mt. San Antonio (Baldy). A stand of several ancient lodgepole pines borders the trail on the scree-covered south slope of this peak, which provides welcome shade on this sunny ridge. Although not a major peak, people often climb it during winter for some extreme back-country skiing.
